Load control tariff
Overview
Installing the charger on an economy tariff (Tariff 33 / 31) where the charger is switched on and off (at the same time) on a daily basis.
Pros
- Cheaper charging rate - customer has access to cheaper charging tariffs.
- Full Charging Capacity: The customer’s charger can deliver the full 32A charging current, equivalent to 7.4kW.
Cons
- No solar charging - this option is not compatible with solar charging.
- Interrupted supply - supply to the charger will be switched off for set periods every day with timing depending on the location. For example:
- Tariff 31: Power is available for a minimum of 8 hours per day.
- Tariff 33: Power is available for a minimum of 18 hours per day.
Installation Notes
Confirm solution with the customer - ensure the customer is aware of the pros and cons of device management.
Warranty - installing an Evnex charger on device management will not impact the warranty.
